Eric Burdon at the Meltdown Festival

Hello Everyone,

There have been some questions about whether or not Eric will be performing at the Meltdown Festival in London on June 11th.

Unfortunately, although he really wanted to be there for the show, Eric had some other commitments which conflicted with the date and weren't able to be postponed.

Eric is looking forward to returning the U.K. and we'll try our best to bring him to you in the near future.

Had a brilliant time at the meltdown would have made it really fab if u cud hv made it, I did wonder before as u had so many concerts booked and the confusion over the dates to begin with and using the animals name in the UK. I am still hoping I can one day get to see a concert in the UK?

I can see the problem. Eric played Tarrytown on Thursday, and with the time zone difference, he would virtually be stepping striaght off the plane and onto the stage if he had appeared ( a bit like the first Animals tour of the US). However, surely someone realsied this before both gigs were accepted. I am curious as to which one was confirmed first - if it was Meltdown then Eric has just gone for the biggest buck, if it was Tarrytown then soemone F*cked up. Meanwhile although we missed Eric there were some good times there last night.

Great pity that Eric is unable to perform for his UK fans - I do hope he will re-schedule soon. His UK appearances are very rare these days. We Brits are waiting !!!

A real shame that he's not appearing. The rare opportunity to see him perform was the reason I bought tickets. Very disappointed.
