not having cable, I put this on and was compelled to contact you-
it really struck me how ahead of your time you were...
the band had so much grit and looking back it's so striking...
I had liked alot of these bands, but don't watch much TV and
never noticed how much your band, your voice stands out
in retrospect...curious about your current endeavors :)

There is a house in New Orleans
When i was 15 years old i could play the organ solo
They call the Rising Sun
we did not knoe what a whore house was
back then we were too young
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
i had a farfisa organ once they repossesed it
cause i could not make the payments
And God I know I'm one

ERIC BURDON

Woodstock, 40 years later, many ways to remember... Purple Haze (1983): The explosive summer of 1968, the assassination of Robert Kennedy, the Chicago Convention, the Vietnam War and the protesters, the music and the drugs. All form the backdrop for Matt Caulfield's coming of age. Arriving home from college campus after being expelled, Matt must confront his parents, the era and his future of finding that growing up means painful choices, before being shipped off to Vietnam... The ending is…

I had a little band that played just about every song they had out!!! lol....We should have called ourselves 'the little animals'. We had a gifted organ player and I had the real trebley Fender Telecaster you know? It was fun because those songs had alot of soul and they were pretty easy to mimic. Later we kind of started steeling Doors tunes too. The doors kind of let the Organ stand out in their songs and robbie Krieger the guitar was awsome, Did Eric ever bump into Jim Morrison or have a…
