Hi - I wrote a memoir about my life beginning in the early 1960's. I incuded lyrics from two of your songs - It's My Life and We Gotta Get Out of This Place (this became our high school class song - makes sense, right?)
It took a lot of tracking down copyrights, but those two songs made an impression on me and my peers. Thanks for putting the soul into them!
Given that Eric is working on a new CD to be released next year I thought it may be interesting to offer up some suggestions as to songs we would like to hear him record. Here are six in no particular order I would love to hear Eric record.
The River of No Return - Tennesse Ernie Ford. Eric's take on 16 Tons was amazing and I think this TEF song could be as good for Eric's voice and interpertation as 16 Tons was.
I wanted to say thanks for all of the great music over the years, and for being a bub in the old days, especially when you did a series of the reunion gigs during 1983. I was working your album at radio at the time, and you were and will always be my favorite vocalist in rock.
