My personal review for the 'Animal Experience'

I’ve been at quite some concerts of ‘Eric Burdon and the Animals’ during the last years. And also this year I had the chance to see them twice on their European tour. And here is my personal review.

 

Each of their performances on stage is more than just a show, it’s an experience! And they also proved this to be true for this year. From my point of view especially at the show in Karlsruhe. Everything just fit together! The show was sold out and the audience obviously was…

‘Eric Burdon and the Animals’ in Pfullendorf on August 8th

Pfullendorf was one of the last venues of the European tour in 2009. And I did take the chance to see my favourite band one more time – who knows, when I will have a chance to see them again…?



Pfullendorf is a nice little town close to the Lake Constance in the South of Germany. Concert review: Eric and the Animals in Eich, July 17th

Isn't that fantastic? One great concert after the other. Almost every day some member of this site is writing a review with the very best critics possible! We didn't have a chance to see Eric here in Germany for quite a while, but this year it's fantastic - thank you so much for planning the tour like this. Eric in Augsburg, July 1st 2009

This year I was in the lucky situation that Eric and the Animals would be on tour in Germany on my birthday. They would be in Augsburg, about 2 1/2 hours of driving from where I live. So I thought I should take that chance and I presented myself a trip to Augsburg, including the concert - even though (or perhaps 'because' ;-) ) I just had seen them only a few days earlier in Calw.

Hey hey, Guten Abend. Dienstags um 19.00 bis 22.00 Uhr sind immer zwei bekannte von mir, die im Radio Sthoerfunk moderieren. Da kommt gute Musik, alt und neu, auch Eric Burdon. Zuerst wird eine Stunde lang ein Thema vorgestellt, wie z.B. Steppenwolf, Strawbs oder Jeff Beck. Manchmal werden bestimmte Alben (die man gehört haben muss) vorgestellt oder eine Veranstaltung in der Nähe von Schwäbisch Hall. Die beiden haben auch schon Acts wie Ralph McTell, David Munyon oder Focus hergeholt. Kannst mal reinhören, viel aus der Richtung Rock, Progressive, Blues, Singer-Songwriter und auch experimentalistische Werke aus der ganzen Welt.
