Hello Noémi,

I'll try to be here more often if life and its struggle let me do so. This morning I showed some concert clips of Eric to an old friend, he was amazed:-)
Still, I'll be off again for a while, after Easter. A visit to my wife's Dad, he's very aged and really has big trouble. But I'll be around as soon as I'm back.
During all these months, I missed You, aswell as all the nice people I met here.

It seems very strange to me that some members of this site want to instigate some kind of league table in a sad attempt to prove themselves to be more of an Eric Burdon fan than the rest. Haven't they got anything better to do?
It is also rather odd that a large proportion of these "so called" Eric Burdon fans are faceless names, with no city of origin, who have never contributed to any discussion, let alone one pertaining directly to matters concerning Eric. In fact, many of these "true fans" are merely providing a link to a website selling prescription drugs over the internet and are thus using Eric's good name to fill their own pockets. With "fans" like that, who needs enemies?

The first thing is that I don't exactly understand what You're talking about, Jonathan and Mary. Nor where You want to get to with this. Of course, there's freedom of speech and opinion on this site. But opening public topics in this place that are not clearly in relationship with Eric Burdon and his music are simply off-topic.
If I sign in on a site for stamp collectors, I won't talk there about how to fix my car, if You understand what I mean.
And honestly: I still do not understand what You are talking about. Very obscure. Eric Burdon is a soul, rock, rock'n'roll and blues singer. A straight and clear language, no "baroque" thoughts in there. That is exactly what we love in his music. Hope You understand.

I am certainly NOT trying to prove anything to anybody, whether here or elsewhere- I really have got other things to do than to waste my time in childish and absurd discussions.
On the other hand, this is Eric Burdon's official website. And that's what this site is about: Eric Burdon, the man and his music. It is a place for people who share this comon interest. Surely not a place for stupid ("ego") fighting.
From time to time, -as Dragon Lady told You - some people do spam the site.
And of course none of us agrees with this.

thankyou for your helpful comments. It was never my intention to misuse Eric's site. I am also a genuine Eric Burdon fan and if I have caused anyone offence then I am sorry, but other discussions on this site have led me to believe that any discussion is better than no discussion at all, and that we should all be more tolerant of each others ideas and opinions, even when this means broadening our definition of what purpose an Eric Burdon website should serve.
Personally, I believe that the statistics speak for themselves.
