Sad news: paul alfred walsh (alfie) died

This afternoon I got the sad news from his family that our good old friend paul alfred walsh (some of you may know him as alfie from the old bulletin board) died today after suffering on long illness. My thoughts are with his family and friends for whom it will be a big loss to loose such a nice person. May he rest in peace now.

Yes this a vary sad news Ingo. My thoughts are with his family and friends for whom it will be a big loss to loose such a nice person yes , yee he was vary nice person, This vary sad news for us memebers old forum RIP (alfie )

Oh Ingo, this really is sad news... He was one of the truest users of the old message board, a keen admirer of Eric's music and a fine man! Also my heart is with his family and I hope that Alfie will rest in peace!

So sorry to hear that.

We were of a similar age and had a few private discussions about the 60's and our love of music & New Zealand.

Very sorry to hear (from an e-mail that Dai Griffiths sent to the Blues Show on UK radio, and which was read out on air) that Alfie has died. I remember him well from the days when I was a regular visitor and contributor to the old message boards. It's such a shame that he never got to see Eric perform again in New Zealand after all.
