If I could afford spending that much money for the fun of listening to great music, I would rather spend it on travelling to some of Eric's concerts and enjoying the very special live experience. $5,500? Sorry, but what makes you think that the price will even go up every week? You will only get the price somebody is willing to pay - not more. And I did see that not even Eric would buy it, when you wanted to sell it to him two years ago. And why would he want to? If anybody deserves any money for this music then it is the artist himself! Be realistic! We are fans here, not numb nuts.

The price of recording  is very high for young fans,  is impossible buy because we can afford this. But me as fan(personal) prefer rare videos on DVD of Eric Burdon and Animals please give us a link(e-bay) of this recording 1966

I agree with you Iris Patricia ''If anybody deserves any money for this music then it is the artist  himself,

Here's the link to all those who can afford it; http://www.ebay.com/itm/ERIC-BURDON-AND-ANIMALS-LIVE-RECORDING-APRO...

So HOW MUCH did you charge those 5 lucky souls to hear this recording?  You probably went down to NO after Katrina and sold water for $20 a bottle.

2 novice microphones and quality as good as you could get = %&!#@$ !

All I want to know is how many times have you listened to that recording in the last 45 years?

I have a suggestion; since it isn't your music... what will you do with the profits? The gall of hawking it on this website is less than fanly juecueculo.

Hello enginekits,

would you be so kind to tell us the complete list of songs and the running-time of the tape?

Regards. Cornelius.

Well, it looks, like the auction has ended. Has anyone here the information, wether any offers have been  made?

I checked it yesterday, there were no offers.

If Eric Burdon´s lawyer has stopped the auction, we will never have a chance, to listen to this. I remember very well, that there was an auction of a tape of Jimi Hendrix (not at ebay, maybe Christies), which is actually circulating.

Regards. Cornelius.

Regards.

I know

that the auction ended shortly after the post was published on page (official site),   and never appeared again.

Well, if Eric Burdon's lawyer did stop this, then because Eric did not want this to be sold - at least not by somebody else but himself. And if this would be Eric's wish, a true fan does accept this. Too many people have earned money by using Eric - while he would not get a proper piece of the cake. Music business screwed him more than once, also by selling recordings, he did not like to be published (because he felt like they were not good enough). Eric - like each artist - has at least the moral right for checking the material before it is published, to decide, if it should be published or not and also to then have his share in the earned money. Everything else is out of discussion. And supporting people, who don't care about Eric's rights when it comes to earning money with his music, are - in my eyes - as disrespectful as those, who try to make the money without letting him have his share.

Yes, we never might have a chance to listen to this. There were uncounable concerts, we didn't have a chance to listen to, because they were not recorded. Eric still performs live on stage and prduces a lot of great music, which is not recorded - music, which is made just for the moment. This is how it is with artists, who are on the road and perform live. Not everything can be saved for the future. But if it is, then the artist should be the one, who decides, what should be published and what shouldn't - because he is the one who gives his name for the product and who did the job of creating art.
