Just read that the fantastic Etta James is terminally ill. Another one of the greats soon to leave us. This woman sure could sing. My sympathies to her loved ones and all her fans. A very sad day.

Vodoleyka, sadly,but so true. The "music" today just "aint got the same kind of soul". I have a friend who is devastated. She worships Etta. Have a wonderful holiday,even with this sad news.

Did you see the news last week that she was taken off the respirator (able to breathe on her own)?  Although her condition is terminal, it is good to hear that she might be a little more comfortable now...

Karen,yes I read the news about Ettas condition. The thing about leukemia is that,well,there can be improvement,but... I lost both my parents to this ugly blood cancer. I can only hope she doesnt suffer too much. Etta also has dementia and thats real sad. Hey,have a healthy New Year.
