Beware Of Strange Contacts From This Forum!

 About a week ago I posted a brief comment on this website. Yesterday, someone who claims to be a political refugee from Africa contacted me and said she got my personal e-mail from this Eric Burdon website. This person  pretends to be using this forum for normal reasons but then springs a surprise on you and starts asking for political and personal help, etc. So, beware of people contacting you and pretending to be someone or something they are not.

Yes, that is what I did after this happened. I didn't realize I could do this until I was ready to remove myself from this website and found the privacy settings. Thanks!

Then, how do you know if a friend request is legitimate or not?  Is there any way to know?
